vegansaurus!: The Post Punk Kitchen 100: The Top 100 Vegan Food Things!
The hard working folks over at the PPK have come up with The Vegan 100! Well, mainly it was Isa with a little help from her friends and it’s FUCKING AWESOME. Isa writes, “This list is all about the food we ate once we landed. From the cookbooks and blogs that got us into the kitchen, to the…

Addictive stuff !
zoec123: When I was veggie I always missed Percy Pigs… now M&S do veggies ones!
I always find it weird that the Percy Pigs are made with pig gelatine and the cow shaped ones are made with cow gelatine…
They’re not vegan, unfortunately. Beeswax and milk :( So close, M&S, so close and yet so very far.
Q:I don't know if you still want these random asks, but here's one anyway :P What's your favourite vegan meal to make?
Absolutely! Thank you for asking :)
My go-to meal to make is a DIY Satay, similar to this one, but usually a lot more haphazard. Whatever there is in the veggie drawer in the fridge gets thrown in, with some “cook in wok” noodles right at the end. It’s not special, but it’s so easy and really tasty. A perfect lazy meal.
Am I the only one that finds vegan meat ironic?
You don’t want to eat meat but you’re willing to eat something that tastes/looks/feels like meat? So, you WANT to eat meat, but you want to be able to act ~better~ than everyone else because, technically, you didn’t eat real meat? Uh huh, ok.
Or more accurately, it’s a cruelty-free, tasty, versatile and enjoyable food and a great source of protein. There’s your reason.
Perhaps for some there’s elitism and a sense of smug self-importance but for most there’s just living and let live and having a good time whilst doing it.
Veganniversary
I’ve been vegan for six months today. Piece of cake. Non-dairy/egg-free obviously.
Today’s Lesson
After chopping the hottest chilli peppers you’ve ever encountered (a small slice made my mouth feel like it was on fire, and I love spicy food), be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before absent-mindedly rubbing your right eye an hour later.

Best avoid ‘em all together.

The 30–Day Tumblr Challenge
Day 21: A recipe
Lokshen Pudding
A traditional Jewish dessert, originating in Eastern Europe. It’s really easy to make and really tasty.
Ingredients
- 12oz cooked vermicelli
- 2 free-range eggs
- 4oz sultanas
- 1oz mixed peel
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2oz sugar
- 2oz margarine
Directions
- Melt margarine
- Beat eggs
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly
- Turn into greased pie dish and bake in a moderate oven for 40 minutes, or steam for 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hours.
All measurements are in old as the recipe comes directly from a battered book that was published in the 60s. I’m sure it will be just as delicious were it to be made in metric.
